EGMO Scavenger Hunt!!

We had so much fun on the scavenger hunt that it deserves it's own mention.  What a fantastic way to see the city - EGMO organized a hunt through downtown Florence.  As I mentioned in the previous post, we felt that we had an advantage given that we did a mini-tour the day before.  It turns out that the treasure hunt took us on the same route, though the clues kept us so busy we spent 3 hours on the hunt, despite the rain we got.

The scavenger hunt started in the hotel, and then took us through the city to the main attractions.  Along the way we got a selfie with our good friend Galileo:

Next, the Galleria degli Uffizi was a wealth of interesting historical figures.  Not only did we find 3 of the 4 Ninja turtles here, but we learnt a lot about the history of the city going through all the statues on display.

Of course...we took a gelato break.  :)

Towards the end we started to get tired and cold, so we did rush through the last part.  But not before getting a few good photos on the way.

We are still waiting for the results of the scavenger hunt, but kudos to the EGMO team for a fantastic idea!  What a great way to keep your minds off the impending competition and relaxing before Day 1.
